The dining experience

‘We have just featured in The National News paper ‘The Independent’ as one of 50 best pubs in the u.k  may 2012′. As a Norfolk restaurant we’re surrounded with the best local and home grown produce and believe in offering beautiful dishes to suit all tastes, diets and allergies from a seasonal British menu.

Our contemporary dining space offers covers for 40 people comfortably, and is suitable for intimate couples and larger parties of friends and families. We do not double book our tables; we truly believe if you are happy, you will no doubt return, and cramming people in at a quick pace is not our style ‘ we are here for the long haul and therefore we hope you are too’.

We offer an extensive menu ranging from ‘pub classics’ like home-made burgers accompanied with our own chutneys and hand-cut chips, home made pies and stews through to ‘restaurant specials’ ;locally reared organic steak, seasonal game, fresh fish and vegetarian choices. Our seasonal British menu changes every two months, however for added variety our special’s board is updated daily. The menu is priced between £10 and £16. Scores on the doors recent food hygiene inspection 5 / 5 recently awarded with pride in August 2012

Children are very welcome to dine in our restaurant before 7.30pm and high chairs are available upon request. Our restaurant has received numerous outstanding reviews, and is often fully booked, so it’s always best to contact us to make a reservation to avoid disappointment

We pride ourselves on using fresh local produce, vegetables from the ground as opposed to the freezer. we hand cut our own chips, make our own soups, sauces, yorkshire puddings, burgers, pies and desserts. where possible and where stated we make our own chutneys, bread and ice-creams. we believe in affordable quality and unobtrusive service.
